Alba Biergarten, the popular craft beer spot in Villalba has just announced their second house beer: CHINGONA Mexican Lager.
This Saturday May 4th you can be one of the first to try CHINGONA at the Launch Party at Alba Biergarten from 7pm.
CHINGONA is a follow up to their first house beer “TAU Hazy IPA” and is “inspired by the attributes of intelligence, courage and strength that we find in the fajona woman “who does not give up” and makes her way in life.”
JV from Sebastian Investment Inc. says CHINGONA “has a base of Pilsner Malt which imparts a delicate maltiness and a pale straw / golden color. The addition of Flaked Maize to the grist adds a touch of sweetness flavor in the palate with gentle notes of corn. It was fermented with traditional Lager Yeast for a high drinkability profile. Additions of Saaz and Sterling Hops give herbal and spicey notes. The spicy characteristics of the bittering hop Saaz play well with the bright herbal and citrus from the aroma Sterling Hops.”
CHINGONA Mexican Lager has an ABV of 4.7% and IBU of 18, and was brewed over at REBL Brewery in Utuado.
This sounds like a perfect beer for the heat of the Tropics and a perfect Mexican Lager to celebrate Cinco de Mayo.
The CHINGONA launch party will take place at Alba Biergarten, Saturday May 4 from 7pm with live rock from Ron Ley.
