Oktoberfest season is underway, and La Esquinita Brew House is joining the celebration with Oktubre Fest Style Lager, a new seasonal lager brewed in Bayamón and now pouring on draft.
At 4.8% ABV, Oktubre is designed with drinkability in mind while still delivering plenty of malt driven character. La Esquinita describes the beer as easy to drink but full of flavor and aroma, making it a timely addition to Puerto Rico’s Oktoberfest beer lineup.
The beer is available now on draft at La Esquinita in Bayamón while supplies last and will also be poured at the Ocean Lab Beer Fest on Saturday, October 3.
A Bayamón Take on Oktoberfest Season
Oktoberfest officially kicked off in Munich on September 19 and continues through October 4, and La Esquinita is marking the occasion with its own locally brewed interpretation.
Rather than going bigger or heavier, the brewery has focused on creating an approachable lager with enough malt character to suit the season while remaining easy to enjoy by the glass. It’s an approach that fits naturally with the social side of Oktoberfest and its tradition of highly drinkable lagers.

Aroma & Flavor Profile
Aroma
Leans toward the malt side, with fresh bread and toasted nuts among the notes highlighted by the brewery.
Malt Character
Malt forms the backbone of Oktubre, bringing the bready, lightly toasted qualities that define its profile without pushing the beer toward excessive sweetness.
Specific malt varieties have not been announced.
Hop Presence
The hops play a supporting role, allowing the malt and lager character to remain at the forefront.
Finish
The emphasis here is balance and drinkability. Rather than ending with an aggressive bitterness or heavy sweetness, Oktubre is built to remain approachable from the first sip through the finish.
What to Expect From Oktubre Fest Style Lager
Oktubre Fest Style Lager should appeal to drinkers looking for a malt-focused seasonal lager rather than a hop showcase. Its combination of aromatic malt character, restrained hops and moderate strength keeps the focus firmly on easy drinking.
It’s a straightforward approach to Oktoberfest season, flavorful enough to have its own identity without sacrificing the drinkability expected from a festival-style lager.
Best Enjoyed With
Oktubre Fest Style Lager should pair particularly well with grilled sausages, roasted pork, pretzels, schnitzel and other savory Oktoberfest inspired dishes. Its malt focused profile should complement roasted and grilled flavors without overpowering them.
